EXCLUSIVE: Harry Kewell’s management have firmly rejected claims on a Turkish website that the Socceroo star is set to return to the English Premiership next season.
The Galatasaray striker, who signed a two-year deal with the Turkish club this season, was said to be homesick for his family who are still in England.
The report claimed that the former Liverpool and Leeds United star stated he is missing his wife and children.
The story also said that English clubs Fulham and Spurs were interested in signing the 30-year-old Australian.
"At first I thought I can handle... But now I want to be with my family and I'm waiting for your understanding," a translated report on fanatik.ekolay.net claimed Kewell said.
Kewell's manager Bernie Mandic told au.fourfourtwo.com that the story is completely wrong. "There is no truth to it at all," he said today.
It's understood the 30-year-old former PFA young player of the year is keen to see out his contract at the Turkish giants, where he's become a popular figure with the club.
It's thought these rumours emanated from a London club said to be interested in the Socceroo, who's also on the verge of qualifying with Australia for the 2010 World Cup.
Galatasaray are currently fourth from top in the Turkish Super Liga.
