THE long-running drama surrounding Harry Kewell's future looks like it will come to an end on Saturday with reports the Socceroo striker will sign a three-year deal with Melbourne Victory.
The Age reports Kewell will sign with the two-time A-League champions under terms he agreed with the club some months ago.
It will bring to an end a tumultuous and prolonged process which looked like it would fall through after Kewell and his management couldn't come to an agreement with the FFA over a few of the terms of his deal.
It's understood as well as Kewell's base salary he will receive a percentage of any increases in revenue his performances for the club create through attendances and marketing.
But the Socceroos star won't receive any extra money from the FFA.
Victory are expected to hold a press conference at 3.15pm (AEST) today to confirm the deal.
More to come...
