HARRY Kewell is expected to end his training ground isolation on Thursday and resume full workout duties with the rest of the Socceroos squad.
To see the Socceroos train overnight ...
Kewell's groin problem remains the subject of intense speculation but coach Pim Verbeek appears extremely optimistic about the situation.
"Harry's okay. He'll do a tough (solo) session on Tuesday, Wednesday will be recovery for everybody, and expectation is he will start training on Thursday with us," Verbeek told AAP.
"Then we will see if he will do full training sessions or part of the training. We won't take any risks with him. Physically he's okay. Mentally he's very good. He's ready."
Verbeek, who has hailed the efforts of Australia's medical staff with Kewell, is happy that the base fitness is there. It's just a question of match action and the different dimension that brings.
"When you look at his fitness levels, he's as far (advanced) as the other players," Verbeek added. "At the moment his match fitness and match rhythm is different. He knows that also.
"But we have 10 days and he is perfectly on track. This is exactly what we had planned."
The Socceroos take on Denmark tonight in the first of two pre-tournament warm up matches in South Africa.
