SOCCEROO Harry Kewell was still missing for Galatasaray as his Turkish club crashed to defeat against Antalyaspor while Genclerbirligi's Aussies drew a blank.
Kewell had been expected to return for his club but was not included in the starting XI or featured among the subs.
It was a bad afternoon for his club as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Antalyaspor. Galatasaray went down to Ahmet Kuru's 59th-minute goal.
As for Genclerbirligi's Australian trio, there was action for two of them with Mile Jedinak and James Troisi both starting in the 0-0 draw with Eskisehirspor. Bruce Djite did not feature.
Michael Petkovic's Sivasspor remain top of the tree and face Bursaspor later today.
It was back to business for the Socceroos European- based contingent on
as Lucas Neill and Mark Schwarzer played in the English FA Cup while Jason Culina came up against Brett Holman's AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Lucas Neill played the full shift in West Ham's FA Cup clash against Middlesbrough, where Mark Scharzer's former understudy Brad Jones is goalkeeper.
Middlesbrough took the lead early and Jones managed to keep them ahead with some fine saves until late in the match when West Ham defender Ilunga scored with a header to draw the match 1-1 and force a replay.
Mark Schwarzer has arguably kept the Socceroos in the running for the World Cup and he is producing similar form at club level. Fulham were outplayed by Championship team Swansea but Schwarzer kept his team in the running with a string of saves and earned them a replay with the
game finishing 1-1.
Richard Garcia started the match for Hull against Sheffield United and after Sheffield took the lead he had the chance to reply but glanced his header over the bar. Richard then had a chance to put his
team in the lead after Hull had equalised but this time he was thwarted by the goalkeeper who parried his header.
Garcia was substituted after incurring a booking with ten minutes to go and the match finished 1-1 with the sides due to meet again on Thursday.
In the English Championship David Carney came off the bench with 10 minutes to go for Norwich City against Preston as they went in search of an equaliser but couldn't find one and Norwich went down 1-0.
While in the third division Gareth Edds played the full game of Tranmere's 2-1 loss to Southend and earned a booking for his efforts.
Up in Scotland Trent McClenahan also played the full 90 of Hamilton's 1-0 loss to Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League. He set up his striker with a long punt from the back but the
ball was sent over the cross bar.
