The 31-year-old Australian, who has battled injuries throughout his career, has pledged his commitment for the 2014 World Cup campaign.

Speaking to reporters, Kewell was asked if he had played his last World Cup game and the Galatasaray man responded: "No, I don't think I have."

The Socceroo revealed he'd be available for selection for the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar, which is only six months away.

"If I'm selected, yeah," Kewell said.

"I think my brief 25 minutes in the World Cup was enough to show people that I'm back. It was a shame that it didn't last."

It had been expected several of Australia's veteran players would retire after the World Cup, but a handful of key Socceroos, including Kewell, have already dismissed such suggestions.

Fellow senior Socceroo Tim Cahill is one, confirming international retirement wasn't on his mind.

Cahill said: "I'm a very proud Australian. I'll keep playing for as long as I can.

"I give everything - the only thing that will stop me is serious injury."

Current Australia skipper Lucas Neill also vowed his immediate commitment to the national team, although the 32-year-old was cool on confirming he'd be around for Brazil 2014.

Neill said: "As long as I can continue to perform consistently at a level, of course I'm going to help out for the country.

"I want to win something for this country. I want to give something to these younger guys who might need a bit of guidance.

"The Asian Cup has got to be a target of ours. Let's try and go for some glory."
