Mateja Kezman has expressed his relief at leaving Paris St Germain - and hit out at former coach Paul Le Guen over his troubled spell in the French capital.
The Serbian's contract was terminated by mutual consent yesterday and he is desperate to find a new club and, at the age of 31, return to regular action.
"I'm hungry for football," he told L'Equipe. "For a long time, I've wanted things to change.
"When you see that you do not play even when the other strikers are not scoring goals, you ask yourself. I understood there was no future.
"For two years, it has been very difficult. I have pushed and fought, but I have never had my chance here."
And he laid the blame for that situation at the door of the coach who signed him for 5million euros from Fenerbahce in 2008.
"Paul Le Guen ruined everything," Kezman continued. "With him, the deal was flawed from the start. From day one, I felt he was not happy to have me in his squad."
The striker's difficulties have continued under Antoine Kombouare - he has played just 25 league games for the club in total, scoring five goals - but he said of the current coach: "It's a personal choice. I wish him well. But it's annoying because it grinds a player down."
