Fresh from a thumping 5-1 win over Melbourne Victory in Sunday's semi-final, two-goal star Khamis called for Sydney's A-League fans to flock to see the two best teams in the women's competition slug it out for grand final glory.

"We're all excited. We want to go the double and do down in history. One game to go," she told au.fourfourtwo.com.

Sydney continue to play one of the most attractive brands of football ever seen in the W-League after another barnstorming season which has seen them score 29 times in ten games (12 more than Brisbane).

With that in mind and with history beckoning, Khamis hoped that the club's A-League fans and in particular the Cove would turn out in great numbers - particularly given their male counterparts are playing away next weekend.

"We just want all the support we can get to Campbelltown stadium. If we can beat the record of 3000 that'd be great to help us win the double," she said.

"If the Cove can come down and help us bring back the trophy again, that'd be great and much appreciated."

Khamis, 25, was also keen to pay tribute to her forward line partner in crime and league top scorer with 12 goals Kyah Simon.

"We love scoring goals and that's what wins you games," she said. "I love playing with her. We can read each other's games and we know how each other play. We work off each other and we just have this connection with each other."

Simon was one of the scorers against Victory on Sunday with Nicola Bolger and a Servet Uzunlar penalty rounding out Khamis's brace in the 5-1 romp.

Roar and Sydney have dominated the league since its inception with one W-League trophy apiece.

Last season Sydney defeated Roar in the grand final at Shark Park after Brisbane had won season one's trophy at Ballymore.

Now, it's the chance for one of these sides to make history and become a two-time winner of the trophy. And with a virtual national team on display in this grand final, all's set for the biggest game of the campaign.

On Saturday, Roar defeated Canberra United in a classic in Brisbane on penalties to seal their grand final place.

Khamis added: "It'll be a tight game. We've won one, they've won one. The third one will be interesting. That's what we're striving for and this week at training it's going to be a great week."
