The contrast between the two sides could not be greater in Group A; Germany have won their three games so far, including an impressive 3-0 victory over Turkey on Friday while the Kazakhs have yet to pick up a point or score a goal from their three contests.

Everything points to an away win in Astana but Real Madrid midfielder Khedira is wary of an upset.

He said on www.dfb.de: "It is a question of attitude. Of course, you could go there and say 'Kazakhstan, who are Kazakhstan?' But that would be exactly the wrong way to approach such a game.

"We will not do that, we approach every game with full concentration.

"There are a few factors that we must have in mind; an unusual kick-off time, artificial turf in the stadium, it will be cold."

The visitors, who will be without Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng due to gastro-enteritis, will come up against a man who plies his trade in Germany tomorrow.

Heinrich Schmidtgal is expected to win his third cap for Kazakhstan after impressing playing for Rot-Weiss Oberhausen in the 2.Bundesliga.

And the 24-year-old admits it will be a big occasion when he lines up against his adopted country.

"This is obviously a very special game for me. I've spent almost my whole life in Germany, it has become my home," said Schmidtgal, whose family moved to Germany from the former Soviet Union when he was two years of age.

"But I will give everything for Kazakhstan tomorrow.

"Germany are the clear favourites and it will be very difficult for us. However, we will not simply try for a 0-0. Against Germany, we want to attack and offer our fans something."

Belgium were fancied to push Germany in the pool but they have disappointed so far, their first win not coming until Friday with a 2-0 victory in Kazakhstan.

They will look to build on that result when they host Austria.

Coach Georges Leekens said: "This victory has been a form of liberation for the lads.

"We've laid good foundations for Austria on Tuesday and we'll try to get the team ready for that match."

Austria, who beat Azerbaijan 3-0 on Friday night, will again be without giant striker Marc Janko due to a groin problem.

Turkey will look to bounce back from their mauling by Germany when they visit Azerbaijan.
