AUSTRALIAN international midfielder Neil Kilkenny says he wants to stay at Leeds United but claims it is up to the club to decide his future as he nears the end of his current contract.
The Brisbane-raised 25-year-old, who is currently with the Socceroos at the 2011 Asian Cup, comes out of contract at Elland Road at the end of this season.
The two parties have been in negotiations for some time, but no deal has been struck so far.
"At the end of the day if Leeds want to keep me they know I want to stay, so the ball is in their court," Kilkenny said.
Kilkenny has been a key member of the promotion-chasing Leeds side this campaign, making 20 starts and four appearances off the bench in all competitions for the Whites, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
He added: "There's nothing to discuss about my contract at the moment.
"Discussions have started, they have been going on for a long time so we'll wait and see when I get back."
Former Arsenal junior Kilkenny has been at Leeds since 2008.
