His Leicester City side is locked in a Championship relegation fight and manager Ian Holloway is adamant that the red card should be overturned.

Kisnorbo was sent off in the opening quarter of an hour of Saturday’s 3-0 defeat, a match which saw Blades striker James Beattie net a hat-trick in just eight minutes.

City claim there was no contact in the challenge which saw the Aussie defender dismissed.

Kisnorbo has already had one red card overturned this season after he was judged to have been unfairly dismissed in an earlier match

Boss Holloway told the Leicester Mercury: “We have had enough of these decisions to sink a battleship. Let’s hope it doesn’t sink us.

“We have got to get two wins out of the last four games and this has made me even more determined. I’ll take any two games, hopefully we will get more than that.

“Hopefully the ref will look at that and, if he stands by that decision, I have got two wooden legs.

“If the booking stands, I am down to two centre-halves for next week. I am more than hopeful because I have seen it and they are wrong.

"I am fuming because look at all the games at all levels of the division and how important they are. We all want them to get it right.”
