The 30-year-old Australian is out of contract at Elland Road and the Whites haven't committed to re-signing him following a season on the sidelines with an Achilles injury.

Kisnorbo had returned from injury on the final day of the season against QPR but doubts remain about his long-term fitness following the Achilles problem he sustained in March last year.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has made it clear he wants to see the Aussie in pre-season before deciding on a new contract and Kisnorbo will begin that process on Monday.

However, according to Sky Sports UK, fellow Championship club Crystal Palace are interested in Kisnorbo who is available on a free transfer.

Kisnorbo had a trial with Palace in 2009 after being released by former club Leicester City.

Grayson was confident in May that Kisnorbo wanted to stay at Elland Road but said they had to play it safe with his fitness.

“He wants to stay, I want to keep him here, but as a football club we’ve got to make sure we cover ourselves,” Grayson told the Yorkshire Evening Post in May.

“There’s no point in giving Paddy a two, three or five-year contract without him proving that he’s 100 per cent fit.

“He understands that and he’ll have five or six weeks in pre-season to get match-fit. I would think that (Leeds will offer him a short-term deal) to cover our backs and his back. He only needs to prove his fitness.”
