The 27-year-old Australian continued his recovery from a serious knee injury with a 45 minute outing in City's 1-1 draw against Oldham Athletic on Saturday and is now hoping for more action against Walsall tomorrow.

His first team return came sooner than expected but the defender is relishing being back in the picture.

He told the Leicester Mercury: "I was surprised to be included. I have had three or four reserves game and I was told I was travelling.

"When I found myself on the bench, that was great and I would have settled for that.

"But to be called on at half-time was fantastic and to be part of a draw, which is quite important to us, was also a big step."

Having got through the game unscathed, Kisnorbo was delighted with the way his afternoon unfolded and he's now looking forward to more game time.

"It all felt good and now it is just about getting my match fitness back, to win my headers and get in the physical challenges.

"It was great to be kicking a ball and to be part of the emotional aspects of a game," he said.
