The Australian is back in action after an achilles problem with the Yorkshire club and his return has coincided with an upward turn in results.

Leeds coach Ian Miller is delighted to see the defender back and having worked with him at previous club Leicester City, knows his qualities better than most.

"He's been outstanding. Him and Richard Naylor have formed a partnership of two proper defenders. You'd go to war with them," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "I worked with Paddy at Leicester and he was one of the best players there.

"It's only injury that's prevented him from playing at a higher level and he's been reliable and consistent. Every week he's been one of our better players and he's been a major signing."

Kisnorbo insists his main priority is winning promotion but he is also hoping to make the plane to South Africa with the Socceroos.

He added: "The first game back was a bit hard because I hadn't played for a few weeks but I'm feeling good and I hope that's it for me now."
