USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann will continue to impose his ideas on the team as he leads them into a match in Europe for the first time when they face Belgium tomorrow night.
Klinsmann, 47, recently replaced the long-serving Bob Bradley as States head coach and, despite expecting a tough test, he wants his players to adapt to his style of football.
"Belgium will be another good experience for them," he told www.ussoccer.com.
"We want to try to develop that style of play, that we are confident on the ball and that we try to pass our way through difficult situations and tight spaces. It will take time."
A 1-0 defeat against Costa Rica over the weekend in Klinsmann's second game in charge was not ideal preparation for their trip to Belgium, although captain Carlos Bocanegra is relishing the match.
"They've got some good individual players. It's going to be a tough game and another challenge for us," he said.
"They are a quality team in Europe and it's good for some of our younger guys to get that opportunity. It will be a good test for us."
