Despite the fact that Klopp has led his side to two successive German titles, Bayern – who have already signed Mario Mandzukic, Xherdan Shaqiri, Dante and Claudio Pizarro in the off-season – are favourites to win the 2012/13 crown.

"Bayern needs to be successful, immediately," Klopp said on Wednesday.

"They are the favourites for the next season. As usual, you might say.

"They did big transfers - and not just players, they made the most spectacular sports director move of Bundesliga history (Matthias Sammer, formerly of the German football federation).

"We are just preparing for the next season."

Klopp is pleased with his new signings though, particularly midfielder Marco Reus, who starred for Borussia Moenchengladbach last season.

Klopp also made mention of some of his younger acquisitions, including Australian midfielder Mustafa Amini, who has joined the club from the Central Coast Mariners in the A-League.

"Of course, Marco Reus is obviously the outstanding of our new players," Klopp said.

"I am totally pleased with Julian Schieber, Oliver Kirch and also Leo Bittencourt and Mustafa Amini.

"Mustafa comes over from Australia and that's not easy for a young guy like him. We will give him all the time he needs.

"First he has to train on our level and then we will see where and when he is going to play. Nevertheless he is a big Australian talent. All in all I am really pleased."

Dortmund begin their title defence with a home fixture against Werder Bremen on August 24.
