Borussia Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp has told Bayern Munich that striker Robert Lewandowski is going nowhere in the upcoming transfer window.
A number of recent reports suggested the Bavarians are interested in signing the Poland international, but the trainer has insisted that the forward is not for sale.
"He is unavailable. Who do they think we are? Do Bayern really think they can just come along and ask 'Lewi' whether he wants to come play for them if Mario Gomez can't play for some reason?" Klopp stated to Sport Bild.
"That is utter nonsense and can be ruled out."
Lewandowski joined Dortmund from Lech Poznan in the 2010, and has developed into a key player this term, netting 20 times in 32 Bundesliga appearances in 2011/12.
Dortmund are still coming down from the high of sealing their second consecutive Bundesliga title at the weekend, but Klopp hopes his side can refocus and go on to win the league-cup double this season.
"We enjoyed our Saturday night. Everything that happened in and after the match was extraordinary. But then, on Monday, things went back to normal," he said.
"We were able to focus on the season again because, and this helps a lot to keep us focussed, at the end of the season we'll be in the cup final.
"As I've said before, our results in this season's Champions League were far from good. But on the other hand people tend to forget that our performances weren't actually that bad."
