Aaron Mooy will be fit for Socceroos selection ahead of Bert van Marwijk's first games in charge of Australia, despite his knee injury setback.
Mooy was stretchered off late in Huddersfield's 4-1 win over Bournemouth last Sunday in the Premier League after a heavy tackle left him with a nasty cut to his knee.
It had initially been reported that Mooy had avoided any ligament damage, fuelling hopes of a quick recovery.
However, Huddersfield boss David Wagner revealed the extent of the injury on Friday, stating the Australian would miss two to three games due to an infection in the cut.
The Terriers meet Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday morning (AEDT), before league matches against West Bromwich (February 25) and Tottenham (March 4) ahead of Socceroos selection.
"It is only a cut, but unfortunately there was an infection when he got his stitches," Wagner said.
"This means there is a slight setback but nothing serious. He will miss the next two games, this is for sure. Maybe Tottenham as well but then he will be back.

"It is not something where ligaments or muscles are damaged.
"This is unlucky in this situation that he will be out for two weeks, maybe three.
"I am always sad if players are injured, especially Aaron who played at a very good level against Bournemouth. He was back to his best."
The Socceroos are due to meet Norway in Oslo on March 24 and Colombia in London on March 28, with van Marwijk to name his maiden extended squad earlier in the month.
