Danning rattled in the winner for Vitezslav Lavicka's men in a pre-season win over Sydney Olympic before he boarded a plane with the Young Socceroos for a tournament in Argentina.

He played 70 minutes in the first tournament clash with Uruaguay and came on as a substitute in the second game of the competition.

The coming months will see Danning pushing for a regular starting slot with Sydney FC and possibly an Under 20 World Cup as well.

"Everything has happened really fast," he told au.fourfourtwo.com. "Sometimes I do pinch myself. I am looking forward and it's been a very good journey (so far) for me. I'm happy to be getting the exposure I've been getting."

Like his club colleagues, Danning is impressed with the impact Lavicka has made since taking charge at Sydney and he is looking forward to working with him when he returns from international duties.

"The coach has brought a lot of change to the club. There's a big change. I can feel it," he said.

A winner against Olympic was satisfying for Danning - despite Lavicka being unimpressed by his side's performance for the win - but the youngster says it is not about the individual.

"It was nice to grab the winner in that match but I just try and do the best I can for the team," he said.

Danning and his Young Socceroos colleagues are in action again this evening when they face the USA.
