Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal that will see Croatia international defender Robert Kovac return to his homeland with Dinamo Zagreb.
Dinamo, the reigning Croatian champions, announced the transfer for the 34-year-old in a brief statement on their website today.
"The management of Dinamo agreed a transfer of Robert Kovac from Borussia Dortmund," the statement on www.nk-dinamo.hr read.
Kovac's contract with Dortmund was due to expire in the summer and Dinamo coach Marijan Vlak expects him to bring valuable experience following a career that has seen him play at clubs such as Juventus and Bayern Munich.
"I am very pleased with the arrival of Robert Kovac, who has played with the world's biggest clubs," he said.
"It is certain this is an immense gain for us, as it would represent for any other club.
"Our young players will be able to learn a lot about football and professionalism."
Kovac will now join Dinamo at their training camp in Antalya, Turkey.
