Socceroo Robbie Kruse has reported interest from the United States although he appears destined to join Chinese club Liaoning Whowin.
The 28-year-old has been public about his desire to leave Bayer Leverkusen in January, having struggled for opportunities.
It has been widely reported that Kruse is exploring an offer from Liaoning, currently home to Aussies Dario Vidosic and Michael Thwaite.
According to German football website Kicker, Kruse also has options in the United States.
Kruse hasn't travelled with the Leverkusen squad for the club's winter training camp in Florida, in order to explore his future options with his agent John Grimaud.
The Bundesliga outfit have already given Kruse, who has made only three brief substitute's appearances this season, their blessing to move.
Leverkusen chairman Michael Schade told Express: "He has a good character. We won't put stones in his way."
