Socceroos striker Robbie Kruse scored a debut goal for Bochum overnight to give them a late 2-1 win over Jamie Maclaren's Darmstadt.
Kruse, who had just returned from international duty, started for Bochum in their away trip to Darmstadt.
It was the home side who opened the scoring through defender Aytac Sulu in the 24th minute.
Darmstadt continued to control most of the game, but Bochum managed to breach their defence and find an equaliser through substitute Dimitrios Diamantakos in the 81st minute.
But the game was not done yet, with Kruse scoring in the 86th minute to seal a vital 2-1 away win for Bochum.
The victory moves Bochum up to 11th on the table, while Darmstadt remain second after five games.
Maclaren, who was also returning from international duty with the Socceroos, was an unused substitute.
