SOCCEROO coach Holger Osieck will give fringe players a run in the friendly against UAE next Wednesday – and that includes handing a debut to Melbourne Victory star Robbie Kruse.
Kruse, 22, was a bolter in the Socceroo squad announced today for January's Asian Cup.
Speaking from Switzerland, Osieck said today those in his Socceroo squad who would be travelling from England would likely be rested for the game in Al Ain due to club commitments on January 1.
The match against UAE serves as a final hitout before the start of the Asian Cup just days later in Qatar. It also offers a chance for Kruse, Neil Kilkenny, Nathan Burns and others to stake a claim in Osieck's starting X.
More to come...
