Adelaide United coach Marco Kurz has hosed down rumours linking him with the Sydney FC coaching job.
The German boss has been linked with the Sky Blues job which will be vacated at season’s end when Graham Arnold moves to join the Socceroos set-up.
Kurz, who has experience in the Bundesliga with Kaiserslautern and Hoffenheim, played down the speculation.
“It’s only speculation, not more,” Kurz said, when asked if he was tempted by the Sydney job.
“My focus is for the boys and for our goal, nothing else.”
Kurz said he was flattered by the interest, but wanted the focus to be on United’s clash with Melbourne City on Friday night.
“I’ve heard about the rumours from Sydney,” Kurz said.
“Maybe it’s not too bad to be named for a club like Sydney FC.
“I’m concentrating on our next game. I’m contracted for the next season. That’s the point.”
