Kuwait Football Association President Mohammed Al Masoud insisted the country's football governing body has already taken steps to try and end their international exile.
FIFA suspended the Kuwait FA from all international football activities on Tuesday due to interference from the Kuwaiti government, a direct contravention of its rules.
It means Kuwait are banned from all international football sporting contact until further notice and could affect the country's participation in the second round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
But Al Masoud is hopeful the ban will prove only a temporary measure.
"We are surprised at FIFA's decision but the federation had an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday and we will try to work with FIFA to solve this issue," he said.
"There is positive communication with FIFA and we will try our best to solve this problem."
General Secretary Meshlesh Al Ajmi added that all of Kuwait football needed to pull together if they are to attain a swift reinstatement
"The KFA cannot solve this issue unless all parties related to sports in Kuwait work to solve it," he said.
"I hope that we can fix everything as soon as possible. We will have another meeting on Thursday and we will study all the actions that need to be taken.
"We will discuss everything related to FIFA's decision and we will also discuss everything in our meeting with the clubs on Sunday.
"The KFA decided to address all parties related to this issue in order to solve the problem as soon as possible.
"We hope that we will find a quick solution to this crisis before the 2010 FIFA World Cup draw on November 25."
