Michael Ballack and Lampard put Chelsea into the last four at the expense of Fenerbahce tonight with a 2-0 win for a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Ballack's early strike edged Chelsea ahead on away goals before Lampard added a second three minutes from full-time.

Lampard said: "It was hard, credit to Fenerbahce they made it very difficult for us and had some chances.

"It was a relief to kill the game off at the end, really.

"I think it's deserved, to be honest. Over the course of the two games we deserve to be through. We didn't play as well tonight as we can but this competition is about getting results."

As for a last-four showdown with Liverpool, Lampard continued on ITV4: "We've been there, we know everything about them and they know everything about us. It's amazing how often we've been in this situation.

"It's going to be a tough game, it's important to show the same concentration as we did tonight."
