The club's record goalscorer recently extended his illustrious career at the club, when he signed a one-year extension to his contract despite speculation he would leave in the off-season.

And now he wants the club to follow suit by offering Terry an extra 12 months on his deal, which expires at the end of the 2013-14 season.
"I know JT (Terry) will want to stay, he's said he'd love to stay at Chelsea," Lampard told The Sun.

"He feels the same as me. Why play anywhere else when you love the club you're at? JT's captain of the club and does a brilliant job.
"At the start of next season I think that's when the club will take a view on it. I know what my view would be."
The England international also defended Terry, who was ridiculed for joining in Chelsea's celebrations in his full kit following both their UEFA Champions League and Europa League victories last season and this, despite not playing in either of the finals.
"John must have been here 14-15 years, right from the youth team," he added.
"The fact he couldn't be involved in two big finals was hard to take. He deserves to be involved when we win things, simple as that."
