FORMER Melbourne Victory shot-stopper Mitch Langerak looks set to make only his second appearance for Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund with first choice goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller under an injury cloud.
Fifa.com is reporting that Langerak will be between the posts at Hamburg on Sunday if Weidenfeller fails to recover from back pains.
Roman (Weidenfeller) hasn't trained, so Mitchell Langerak is back in the picture after his injury - he is our first option,” Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp said.
Langerak has had his own injury troubles, damaging stomach muscles during a training camp in Spain, but insists he is ready to play.
The 23-year-old Australian made his first and only league appearance last February when he helped title-chasing Dortmund to a vital 3-1 win over Bayern Munich.
He followed that up this season with a cup appearance and a clean sheet against second-division Dynamo Dresden in Dortmund's 2-0 second-round victory last October.
