The Italian giants are keen to acquire the services of a world-class striker and have expressed an interest in the 26-year-old after Thierry Henry's arrival at the Nou Camp increased speculation that Eto'o could be on his way out.

However, Laporta said: "He (Eto'o) is a player that is not for sale.

"I believe that he is very enthusiastic and he is already training as though the season had started."
