Despite the Sky Blues' hopes of progressing past the group stage going on the line in Korea in this clash, Lavicka said he is unlikely to make any changes to the side that came from behind to beat Shanghai Shenhua 3-2 in China two weeks ago.

That means livewire Williams and Swiss defender Stephan Keller, who missed that last game through injury, will likely have to settle for a spot on the bench against the Koreans.

While Williams is seemingly back to full fitness Lavicka is reluctant to change a winning side for a game he feels his side must win to have any hope of qualifying for the knockout phase of the competition.

"The boys put in a great performance in China, and the result and the way the team played really has given them confidence," Lavicka said.

"Every win helps the players' confidence but it helps even more when the win is away from home. We need to get a result to really have a chance to qualify. Our main goal is to be successful."

The Sky Blues are in third spot in the group after four matches, just a point behind joint leaders Suwon and Kashima Antlers, still having to play both those clubs.

"You have three teams vying for the top spot. We know what we have to do," Sydney skipper Terry McFlynn said.

"We have identified Suwon's physical attributes as one of their strengths. If we focus on what we can do and our mentality is right then we fear no one.

"With them being at home, the onus is on them to come out in front of their home fans.

"We expect them to start quickly and we'll have to counteract that and stamp our own authority on the game."

With a trip to China to face Shanghai to come in Suwon's last game, Bluewings coach Yoon Sung-hyo said his side will go all out for a win against Sydney to secure their place in the last 16.

"This is the most important game for us," Yoon said.

"If we win we confirm a place in the last 16 and I trust the players to do a good job. We need to keep focused."
