Socceroos two-goal hero Mathew Leckie says Friday night's 4-0 win over Czechia gives Australia confidence that their preparations will pay off at the 2018 World Cup.
Leckie netted a double in the friendly victory in St Polten, after Australia left Turkey after an intense 10-day training camp.
"It's confidence because we believe what we're doing is working and what we're working on is going to give us a chance," Leckie told Fox Sports.
"When you lose you've got to work extra hard. It feels good knowing what we've been working on, we can pull it off.
"Great result, we move on."

"It was never going to be perfect. We've still got a couple more weeks to make it better."
