Mathew Leckie scored and put in a man of the match performance as Hertha Berlin defeated Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.
The Socceroo winger opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a sublime left-footed strike.
Leckie received the ball out on the right, dribbled his way into the box and cut onto his left before curling it into the top corner.
Salomon Kalou doubled the home side's lead eight minutes later and Hertha were cruising.
Despite a late goal from Julian Brandt, Hertha held their nerve to seal the victory.
It was just Hertha's second in the Bundesliga this season after five games, moving them up to eighth in the table.
Leckie is equal third in the scoring charts in Germany, two behind leader Robert Lewandowski (6) from Bayern Munich.
