Mathew Leckie has not wasted a moment finding another topflight club with the announcement overnight the Socceroo has signed with Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin.
Leckie became Hertha’s first new signing for the 2017/18 campaign after his club Ingolstadt was relegated.
Hertha had shown earlier interest in the Australian but talks intensified in the last two weeks of Ingolstadt's failed campaign.

The 26-year-old forward told the club’s website he had a few offers before opting for the Berlin-based outfit.
“Hertha stood out for various reasons,” he said.
“Hertha is a big, fantastic Bundesliga club. They’ve been very successful over the last two seasons. Now they’re playing in the Europa League.
“Additionally, Berlin is great; one of the nicest cities in Germany. I also think that Pál Dárdai is a great coach who I can learn a lot from.”
Hertha Berlin ended the recent campaign in 6th spot and Leckie said he hopes to bring goals to the club.
Speaking about his strengths he said: "I’m not slow. I would say I have a goal in me, but I need to improve my record. There were too many chances that I didn’t convert this season. I’ve scored more often in previous seasons."
The former Adelaide United player also revealed he and his wife are expecting a baby in August.
