Socceroo Mathew Leckie can barely believe his own form after netting five goals in eight matches for club and country.
The 26-year-old forward has hit a rich vein of form, since joining Hertha Berlin from Ingolstadt in the off-season.
Leckie had previously been criticised for a lack of goals, having failed to score at club level throughout 2016-17.
But Leckie's strike in Hertha's 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday morning was the latest in a stunning run.
"Football is a strange sport, I barely found the back of the net in previous seasons but everything has come together here in Berlin," Leckie said.
"I have become a Dad, the coach believes in me and I am scoring regularly at the moment.
"That was definitely the best goal of my career."
Hertha moved up to eighth on the Bundesliga table with the win, while Leckie is equal third top scorer in the league too.
"I’m obviously delighted to score again," he said.
"But the three points are most important.
"After the goal we showed a lot of character and got the result we deserved and there was a lot of relief at the final whistle."
