Middlesbrough striker Lee Dong-Gook has been banned from playing for South Korea for 12 months for breaking a team curfew during July's Asian Cup in Indonesia.
Lee, along with fellow internationals Kim Sang-sik and Woo Sung-yong, have also been barred from participating in Korea Football Association-run events for two years after joining World Cup hero Lee Woon-jae at the bar on the night after the loss to Bahrain on July 15.
Goalkeeper Lee Woon-jae, who played a key role in Korea's penalty shoot-out win over Spain in the quarter-finals of the 2002 World Cup, has been banned from playing for three years and ordered to do 80 hours community service.
The ban is likely to end the international career of the 34-year-old Suwon Bluewings goalkeeper, who was captain of the national side during the continental championship, in which the Koreans finished fourth, and he made a tearful public apology for his conduct earlier in the week.
