Manager Simon Grayson confirmed on the Leeds United website that talks with midfielder Kilkenny, who is out of contract at the end of the season, wereon-going.

Central defender Kisnorbo, who has been out of action with a snapped Achilles tendon since March, will be offered a new deal when he completes his recovery

Kisnorbo, who has 18 Socceroo caps, made a big impression at Elland Road in his first season, winning the Player of the Year and the Players Player of the Year awards.

He signed a two-year contract in July 2009 and made 35 appearances at the heart of the defence until an achilles injury not only ended his season in March, but also ended his dreams of representing Australia in the 2010 World Cup finals.

Kisnorbo, 29, joined Leeds after a four-year stint at Leicester City, where he made 140 appearances.

He was a virtual ever-present for his first three seasons at the Walkers Stadium, but made just 10 appearances in his last campaign.

The defender started his career with South Melbourne before moving to Scotland with Hearts.

Kilkenny was born in England but grew up in Brisbane and played at international level for Australia in June 2006 when he came on as a substitute in a 3-1 World Cup warm-up win.

A former Arsenal apprentice, he joined Birmingham City, but was loaned out to Oldham to gain first team experience.

He rejoined Birmingham for the 2005-2006 and played 26 games for the Blues before having another spell at Oldham before moving to Elland Road where he signed a three-and-a-half-year contract in January 2008.

By the end of last season, Kilkenny had clocked up more than 100 appearances for the Yorkshire club.
