Kilkenny, 25, made 39 appearances in all competitions for Leeds last season as the Whites finished the league season just short of the promotion play-offs in seventh.

The seven-time Socceroo, who will become available on a free transfer in June, is seen as a key player for Leeds who are gunning for promotion back to the Premier League next term.

According to SkySports the Whites will make a fresh offer to him as they try to fend off interest from other clubs.

Kilkenny, who joined Leeds in 2008 from Birmingham City, said in January that he wanted to stay with the Yorkshire outfit but the two parties have since failed to reach an agreement.

On Monday, Leeds said it was 'decision time' for Kilkenny with manager Simon Grayson keen to begin planning for next season as soon as possible.

“I want things concluding quickly so we can plan ahead and move forward with certainty,” Grayson told the club's website.
