The Hoops are 21 points clear of administration-hit Rangers at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and on course to wrap up their title win within weeks while next Sunday sees them play Kilmarnock in the Scottish Communities League Cup final at Hampden.

The Parkhead boss knows that a win over United will keep the momentum going, hopefully, from his point of view, until the Hampden showpiece final at the end of the season.

"I want to win the lot," Lennon told Celtic TV.

"That's my focus and it has been for quite a while now.

"But it can all go on one day and that's the edge you have to walk on.

"Sunday is a pivotal day in our season.

"If we lose on Sunday we've got the League Cup final after that and it looks like the league could be wrapped up pretty soon, so there is going to be a lack of competitive games for the players after the Rangers game (the following week).

"So really and truly there is an extra motivation there to keep our season going.

"There is trophies at the end of it, there is history to be made and as player you can't ask for any more than to be in that position."

Lennon has been boosted by the return of Scott Brown following his groin injury which saw him miss the win over Motherwell and draw with Aberdeen.

The Hoops captain is expecting a tough afternoon against the on-form Taysiders who have not lost a match since the last time they faced Celtic in January.

"Dundee United are flying just now to be fair," Brown told Sky Sports News. "They are doing really well.

"They have a good back four, they are really solid.

"They've got young legs in the middle of the park and a few good strikers as well so it's definitely something we are going to have to deal with if we are going to get through to the next round."

Meanwhile, the Parkhead club revealed that Daniel Majstorovic has had surgery after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his left knee while on international duty.

The Swedish defender saw a specialist in London last Thursday and went under the knife the same day, undergoing an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and MCL (medial collateral ligament) reconstruction.

He returned to the club on Monday and is now in the early phase of his rehab, with no issues arising at the moment.

Mo Bangura has made good progress with his knee injury and could make a return to action ahead of schedule.

Initially, it was thought the striker would be absent for up to 12 weeks but the club's medical staff now believe he will only be out for eight to nine weeks and could be back in training in around three weeks time.

Similarly, Beram Kayal is doing very well and has had no major issues since ankle surgery and he could make a return to action before the end of the season.

Mikael Lustig, who made his Celtic debut against Aberdeen last weekend, has a very minor niggle, and while this means the defender will not feature at Tannadice on Sunday, he could be fit for next week.

New Bhoy, Rabiu Ibrahim had a minor niggle but is now back in training.
