The trio have left the Japanese second tier outfit after failing to guide the club to a serious promotion challenge this season.

A poor recent run of results has left Avispa well off the pace with the club stuck in the bottom half of the table and more than 20 points behind league leaders Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Littbarski raided his old club last December for Mark Rudan and Ufuk Talay with striker Joel Griffiths joining on loan in early March.

The Australian influence has not been sufficient to ignite a charge back to the top flight though.

Griffiths' impact was hampered by a nagging injury although he did manage to find the back of the net in his new surroundings.

However, he ended his Japanese stint with a red card and was less than impressed with the spirit in the dressing room at the club.

Yoshiyuki Shinoda takes over as head coach of the club for the remainder of the campaign.

Rudan and Talay did not feature in Avispa's last match before Littbarski's departure.
