Pitch report: looks surprisingly good for an NRL ground. Looks like both sides could play some decent football on this surface. It's not perfect, but not bad either.

Here we go... Fury in their inaugural kit which looks quite smart with their metallic green shirts, white shorts and green socks. The sky blues in last year's home kit. Crowd estimate around 5,000 with more fans coming into the ground as we kick off

1: Fury kick off... Corica with an early chance but miscontrols Danning pass and Hendo mops up for Fury.

2: This has a good feel, both sides look up for it. Middleby cross, Bolton takes

4: Wilson looks a big unit at the centre of Fury backline. Sydney playing with Aloisi as lone striker with Danning and Gan either side and just off him.

5: Henderson gives away corner, chests ball out. Just scrambled clear after Golec scuffs shot.

7: GOAL GOAL TO CORICA. DEFLECTED SHOT AFTER FURY FAILED TO CLEAR CORNER. SCRAPPY GOAL BUT GREAT START.

9: Bolton punches clear from Middleby corner. Fury looking to calm play down. Grossman long ranger deflected for corner.

10: Kohler with header loops over bar from good cross in. Corica thru ball too long for Kofi.

11: Sydney appear to be playing a 4-2-3-1 with Corica in behind John A and the two speedsters wide. Musialik and Grant holding with Cole, Golec, Jurman and Prentice at the back. 

13: Danning looks sharp tonite. Free to Fury 20yds out... good ball in but FC clear.

15: Sydney pressuring Fury high up park. kofi's away again and finds John A who falls over in a bicycle attempt gone wrong!

17: Free to Fury right side. They've been getting a lot of joy down that side. Agius overhits ball.Santalab brilliant tackle on Aloisi to rob ball. Bolton takes resulting cross.

18: Yellow card to Spagnuolo for dissent? We think. Wilson heads set piece away. Sydney hold possession and work back and across.

20: Gan with long range speculator blocked.

21: Agius is playing in a  central midfield role and THERE'S A SCUFFLE IN THE CROWD! SECURITY STEPS IN... FUCKING IDIOTS.. TWO MAN RIOT!!!

22: Fury concede corner with wayward header... Cole takes, Wilson heads clear, Aloisi with shot in box blocked brilliantly by Hendo.. but it's offside as Kofi hits rebound overl...

23: Free to Fury edge of box right in front.. golden opportunity... Agius curls over.

25: Again Sydney controlled play keeps possession but play eventually breaks down.

26: Another free to Fury on the right. Agius takes, Spag finds ball but hits over bar...

36: Bolton with long ball from free kick but mopped up by Fury and Hendo goes long. Grant, to Cole wide and Wilson crunches little Kofi. .. throw in .. Aloisi and Cole combine well in box but just breaks down and it's a goal kick

39: Free to Fury but stuffed up and out for throw deep in FC waters. Fury with Wilson work it wide but no joy again for Fury in building an attack.

40: Yellow card to Santalab for holding back Grant.

42: Bolton slips in clearing ball from outside box. Danger cleared from throw. Bit scrappy now.

43: Tadrosse pressured by Danning, Hendo boots danger ball away, FC regain possession.

44: McBreen handball just inside Fury half but again possession squandered.

HT ANALYSIS

Impressed with Sydney. Controlled style of play, it's all on the deck and quite technical. You can see the benefits of a class coach.Deserve their lead.

Fury: Look a little pedestrian at times but with a fit  Fowler in attack, it will give them a much needed boost. And Agius looks to be a star in the making years after we said that when he played for the Reds some five years ago.

SECOND HALF ...

46: Doesn't look like any changes by either side...Syd win free, lofted in, Kofi finds second ball and gives off ball to Cole brilliantly to find Gan who scores with header right in front: GOAL GOAL TO SYDNEY

47: SHOULD'VE BEEN THREE! SWEEPING MOVE FINDS GAN WHO'S BRILLIANT CROSS LOW FINDS KOFI WHO BLASTS OVER FROM SIX YARDS OUT...

49: Aloisi brillance wriggles free but thru ball cut out.. Danning to  Aloisi and back and low cross is cleared as Sydney continue confident start 

51: Good work by Fury down left but poor cross lets them down.

52: FIFA's Pete Smith is now sitting beside me! He says no comment! Fury free floated in but cleared easily.

54: Grossman off and Osama (not that one) comes on.. Golec with long range shot straight into break basket of Bolton.

55: Corica releases Danning but move breaks down but win corner. Nothing eventuates and Fury take goal kikc

83: Agius find Brockie free in box but blasts wide from 18 yards out. Great chance butchered by Kiwi.
