English giants Liverpool could play in Sydney for the first time with reports claiming the Reds are in negotiations for a match against Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium.
Liverpool have visited Australia twice in the past four years, including a friendly against Melbourne Victory at the MCG which drew a crowd in excess of 95,000.
According to News Corp, the Reds are in negotiations with the New South Wales Government and ANZ Stadium management Venues Live about the potential match.
Sydney FC said they were unaware of any discussions when contacted by FourFourTwo and deferred to the NSW Government and Venues Live.
The Sky Blues are already due to play Premier League outfit Arsenal at ANZ Stadium on July 13.
Liverpool’s final game of the Premier League season is on May 21, with speculation the match could be played in the week commencing May 29.
The Reds are currently third in the Premier League and boast a squad featuring stars such as Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
