Speaking with the Newcastle Herald, the 28-year-old lambasted the club boss over contract negotiations with Patafta, who's not been offered a new deal and isn't training with the squad ahead of their crunch ACL knockout clash against Pohang Steelers later this month.

"We have my little buddy [Patafta], who is probably the most talented out of all of us, and he is in Sydney because he does not know where he lies with this club," Milicevic told the paper.

"He should already have a contract on the table, or at least know where he stands.

"Or if they don't want him, just him tell him and let the boy move on with his life. Don't treat us like pawns in your game of chess.

'You say things and you hope it gets better. But every time something happens you think f*** me, they don't learn."

And his own contract situation has irked Milicevic. saying he doesn't want to be treated like a "prostitute".

The Jets have resumed training after their successful group stage in the ACL.
