Blanc's future has come under question after their quarter-final exit to Spain at the European Championship, but  the 46-year-old has the support of the Lyon goalkeeper.

"What we've done over two years is very positive. In football you need time and stability. You need continuity," Lloris told L'Equipe.

"Everyone believes in the coach's philosophy and his views. It's not up to us but we favour continuity."

Lloris also addressed criticism of the spirit within the team's camp saying it is nobody's business what happens behind closed doors.

Defeat against Sweden in the last group game ended a 23-game unbeaten run for France and there had been suggestions of a dressing-room feud erupting shortly after the loss.

"It's our (private) life as a group, and in the dressing room. It's nobody else's business. It helps no one if it gets out," Lloris said.

"We have a young and fragile group. The question is whether the leaks were on purpose or not."

Lloris was also keen to stress that there was not widespread friction within the camp during the tournament.

"Samir Nasri and Alou Diarra had a row, but the next day did 'la bise' (two kisses) to say hello as usual," he said.

"To presume the behaviour of 23 players is profoundly unfair. How can you forget all we've done over the last two years?"
