GERMANY coach Joachim Loew insists his team still have to improve in the wake of their 2-0 friendly win over Israel on Thursday.
Loew was generally pleased with his side's performance after they had lost their previous match 5-3 against Switzerland, but was adamant they need to be better if they are to have success at Euro 2012.
"It was a pretty decent final test," Loew told reporters. "This will give us some momentum. Not everything ran smoothly, but taking a victory into next week will do us good.
"We still have to improve and work on finishing our chances, the organisation was better, but there is still much to do."
Mario Gomez and Andre Schuerrle struck in the comfortable win, and Loew would have been happy to keep a clean sheet after conceding five against Switzerland.
Loew said Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger was set to resume training after missing the friendly because of a calf injury.
"Bastian has been pain-free since Wednesday," Loew said.
"Now he has to start running and he will train with the team again by Tuesday at the latest."
