The team will bring to an end a year in which a squad with a number of young, inexperienced players surprised many by coming third in the World Cup, losing to eventual winners Spain in the semi-final.

Low has again put his faith in youth by naming four new faces in the squad to play in Gothenburg as he looks to experiment.

Low said: "We want a good end to the year. We want to win the game, but the next result is important for me for other things."

He added: "I am willing to take risks in friendly matches."

One of those new faces is Lewis Holtby who is also eligible to play for England through his father but, by stepping up to the senior squad, is set to plump for Germany.

Borussia Dortmund duo Mario Gotze and Marcel Schmelzer and Holtby's Mainz team-mate Andre Schurrle all earn their first senior call-ups as part of a 22-man squad for the trip.

All four have impressed in their respective sides' outstanding starts to the season and Low would now like to take a close look at them in an international game.

Low also confirmed the new arrivals are set to play some part in the match at the Ullevi Stadium rather than just be involved in the training and whole experience.

"They are not being invited for nothing," he added.

At 18 years old, Gotze is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Europe and has inspired Dortmund's rise.

Low commented: "Mario is a full-blooded striker, and can be very good.

"He is a thoroughbred striker."

Only 10 members of Low's World Cup squad have been included with Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil and Tim Wiese of Werder Bremen also left out after consultation with their clubs.

Meanwhile, Patrick Helmes returns after featuring in the last international friendly against Denmark in August and Andreas Beck, Heiko Westermann, Sascha Riether and Christian Trasch, who have all been on the fringes of the national team recently, are included.

Mats Hummels and Kevin Grosskreutz have also been named and they will be hoping for their second caps after appearing in a friendly against Malta in May.
