The German Football Federation have called a press conference this morning at which it is expected Joachim Low will announce he has agreed to remain in charge of the national team for another two years.
Low's contract expired after the World Cup but the team's impressive display in South Africa - where they reached the semi-finals before losing to eventual winners Spain - led to a public clamour for it to be extended.
And it appears the fans have got their wish with Low and his backroom team now set to carry on until after the 2012 European Championships.
Team manager Oliver Bierhoff, Low's assistant Hans-Dieter Flick and goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke are also set to renew their deals and will all be in place for the friendly against Denmark in Copenhagen on August 11.
