Low and Austria counterpart Josef Hickersberger were sent to the stands during Germany's 1-0 win at Vienna'sErnst Happel Stadium and automatically receive a one-match suspension.

UEFA's control and disciplinary body were expected to immediately make a decision on whether to enforce the ban but will now wait for statements from both coaches, with the verdict set to be announced tomorrow.

Low and Hickersberger were bickering with each other during the match and upset the fourth official by leaving their technical areas.

"I told the referee's assistant we wanted quietly to get on with our coaching work in our zone and that's why we were both sent to the stand," said Low.

UEFA director of communications William Gaillard added: "It seemed they were bickering and they left the technical area. The fourth official called the referee to deal with the problem and they were sent off."

Low would be denied access to his team after arriving at the stadium, should the ban be upheld, and he would not be allowed to communicate with his players during the game or at half-time.

Gaillard added: "It is strictly enforced like any disciplinary measure. If you suspend a player, he does not participate in the match. The suspension of a coach means he does not go to the dressing room or communicate with the bench during the match."

Austria team manager Andreas Herzog accused referee Manuel Mejuto Gonzalez of trying to steal the limelight but it unlikely to face punishment for his comments.
