Glory hit the front early in the game courtesy of a trio combination between Nebojsa Marinkovic and Chris Harold, with Andy Keogh providing a great finish.

Victory equalised with just four minutes remaining in the first half as Marco Rojas’ cross skimmed past Dino Djublic for Besart Berisha to fire in from point blank range.

Despite Lowe lamenting the goal, he praised Djublic for having a “second half like no-one”.

Depleted Glory frustrate Victory

“We gave a really crap goal away, just before half-time,” Lowe said.

“They were on top, don’t get me wrong, they probably deserved a goal, for the last 15 – 20 of the first half, but to give away a goal of that ilk, it just throws you and gives them more momentum.

“I thought they deserved to win, of course I think they had enough chances to win three games, I think it’s a fair comment.

“But you have to take them, don’t you? I’ve been here two years, there’s been games where I’ve sat there and you go home and you wonder how you haven’t won.

“I’m sure Kev (Victory coach Kevin Muscat) will be the same, and that’s the beauty of it and why everyone gets emotional and wrapped up in it.

“For the first 20 we were bang on, we did exactly what we wanted to do, we scored something in exactly the way we anticipated we could hurt them, you couldn’t have written it any better.”

Lowe said they were a long way off where they needed to be but felt they were still on the right track after recording only three wins in nine games.

Keogh scored for the 7th time this campaign and currently sits joint top of the A-League goals tally with Melbourne City's Bruno Fornaroli.

“(Keogh) doesn’t get the credit he deserves at all in any way shape or form,” Lowe said.

“How many has it got this year, seven? Look at his work effort, what he brings to the team, his leadership qualities, his character, away from the game, our changing room.

“He toiled up there by himself all night… he’s just a good player. We’ve got a lot of them at our club.”

Glory return home to take on the Newcastle Jets next Sunday.
