Sydney’s second goal from Jordy Buijs was controversial, with Glory defender Dino Djulbic appearing to be obstructed by an offside Bobo.

The assistant referee had flagged for offside, but was overruled by the VAR.

Lowe was particularly vocal about the decision on the sidelines with fourth official Kurt Ams but was more reserved post-game.

“They’ve brought it in for the right reasons and we all abide by it,” Lowe said.

“It’s pointless complaining. I’m certainly not complaining.

“That’s the nature of it. You roll with whatever cards your dealt.

“You get on with it and keep smiling.”

Lowe acknowledged Sydney were the better side but was happy with Perth’s season upon reflection.

More immediately Lowe will need to begin the process of planning for 2017/18, with 14 players off contract, including Diego Castro.

“We’ve got to sit down with everybody, chat and see what everybody wants to do,” Lowe said.

“Some will want to stay, some will want to go, we’ll want some to stay and we’ll want some to go.

“We want people who want to be here, that’s the big thing.”

Among those out of contract is Glory marquee Diego Castro although Lowe said the Spaniard would dictate that decision.

“It’s his choice,” Lowe said. “It’s probably not the answer you want but it’s the truth.

“Diego will do what we wants and if we’re part of that equation, then that’s fantastic.”
