Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe has taken a dig at the officiating on Saturday night after the WA team was denied two penalties in their 4-1 defeat to Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park.
Glory took an early lead against the run of play through Diego Castro, before Victory piled on two goals in each half to complete the rout.
And Lowe cut an angry figure on the sideline in the first half when referee Kurt Ams waved away penalty shouts from Castro and Andy Keogh who were both brought down in the box.
In the latter case, Victory skipper Carl Valeri had his arms wrapped around Keogh preventing him from attacking the ball.

Post-match Lowe told Fox Sports: “Look I’m a long way away but when I see Andy Keogh getting quite distraught, he’s a genuine kid, he plays the game the right way…there’s got to be something in it.
“I looked at the screen once and saw a cheeky little rugby tackle I think Johnathan Thurston would have been proud of.
“But, hey, if the ref’s four yards away and he misses that, I think Specsavers for the weekend for him.”
It was a morale-boosting win for Victory who had failed to defeat Glory in their past eight outings.
Meanwhile Perth squandered a chance to go third on the A-League ladder and tie up an elimination home final but Lowe said the team remained positive going into the last four of the regular season.
While he described Victory as “very efficient and clinical in the big moments," the coach felt there were positives for Glory to take from the match.
“Going forward we create chances, we score goals but defensively we just need to do away with really basic errors,” he said.
“We’re in a good space, it’s been a good game today, it’s been end to end, they’ve been efficient and clinical and probably deserved the win.
“But again we’ve had opportunities in the game where we probably could have made it a little bit harder...3-2 makes it a little more interesting.”
Next up, Glory host runaway league leaders Sydney FC on March 26.
