The WA outfit overtook Western Sydney to go seventh, equal on points with Brisbane Roar who have a superior goal difference.

Lowe will be watching Saturday's game between the Wanderers and Roar with interest as all three clubs try to clinch the final playoff spot.

In the penultimate round, Glory continued their dominance at the Hunter venue where they remain undefeated in 10 straight games and claimed their first clean sheet on the road this season.

"Great result and now it’s game on with Western Sydney and Brisbane," Lowe told Fox Sports post match.

"(I'll get) a nice bottle of wine, chill out and watch the game, and maybe I’ll be throwing things at the tele if one of them wins."

A penalty to Diego Castro (9') and a goal to Adam Taggart (27') did the damage as the Jets fell to their third straight loss.

Riley McGree kicked out at an airborne Joe Mills, conceding the penalty which Castro promptly dispatched. Joel Chianese then side-footed the ball into Taggart's path who slipped the ball into an empty net to double the advantage.

Taggart is in red hot form, scoring 35 times in his last 57 A-League games.

Lowe was animated on the sideline during the match but says the whole team sensed they had to seize the moment.

"All the players did - you could see the way we came out" he said.

"We took a bit of a gamble and played all our highly experienced players. We threw Taggs Taggart) in – who was outstanding. (Andy) Keogh was superb, Cas (Diego Castro). – everyone across the park (was) immense.

"You know what, we controlled the game. Other than the header I think at the end, I can’t really remember anything major we had to deal with. We did ever so well."

He added: "The front four have got total licence to go wherever they want. When we lose (the ball), that’s our problem but we seemed to have fixed that a little bit tonight. We really worked on it during the week."
